La chanson de Status Quo, "Pictures of matchstick men", leur premier succès, a été adaptée en italien par I Camaleonti sous l'intitulé "Il pittore".
La musique a été reprise par Deat in Vegas pour "Scorpio rising".
Pari les reprises notons, Ã partir de 1983, celle de The Slickee Boys puis celle de Camper of Beethoven, celle de The Divine Comedy, celle de Strange Hobby ou celle de Kasabian.
A l'origine c'est la chanson "Gentleman Joe's Sidewalk Café" qui devait figurer en face A mais elle ne fut pas, pour l'époque, jugée assez psychédélique pour concurrencer Pink Floyd, les Move ou les Electric Prunes.
